Artwork will be displayed beginning in the Grammar School hallway and lead down the Logic hallway to the Frazee Gymnasium. All Lower School students and younger siblings should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the evening.
We are delighted to host this format in order to showcase the artistic and musical talents of our students. Please note that there will not be a Fine Arts Coffee House Talent Show this year due to the increased size and multiple talents of our student body, which now exceeds what a single talent show can adequately showcase. Instead, we invite you to join us for an elegant evening celebrating both music and visual art, with impressive works presented by our students. We look forward to your attendance at this memorable event! Families attending may enter through either the Grammar office entrance or the Logic office entrance.
Fine Arts

“Just as blood is a fact of your physical body and nothing you invented, creativity is a fact of your spiritual body and nothing that you must invent.”
Julia Cameron
PCA’s Fine Arts programs take our students far beyond being art consumers. Our goal is to equip students to become confident creators of art. In order to create, they must learn to see, hear, and notice, to pay attention to notes and rhythms, to the subtle variations of value in the human face, to the differences of meaning in different facial expressions. In order to create, they must become problem solvers, able to transform what they see and hear in mind and spirit into art that others can see and hear.
Theater
PCA’s award-winning Theater Program is dedicated to glorifying God through the dramatic arts by combining theatrical excellence with a commitment to telling stories that reflect truth, beauty, and goodness. Students in the program are encouraged to develop their God-given talents in acting, directing, stagecraft, and production while fostering teamwork, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling.
Through workshops, rehearsals, and performances, theater students refine their skills in vocal projection, emotional expression, and stage presence. They also gain hands-on experience with set design, lighting, and costume creation, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of theatrical production. The Theater Program not only showcases performances for the PCA community but also represents the academy in competitions and events, sharing their passion for the arts and their faith with a broader audience.
Logic & Rhetoric School Music
Logic School Chorus
The music of PCA’s Logic School Chorus seeks to reflect the nature and character of a creative God as displayed through His people. Chorus combines both music education and performance excellence together as a foundation to build community and give students the opportunity to glorify God with their artistic endeavors. PCA Chorus students are encouraged to stretch their vocal range, style and tonal quality through vocal skill development exercises and a variety of musical genres. PCA Chorus students grow as musical artists and servant leaders as they participate together in various performance opportunities throughout the school year.
Praise and Worship Team
PCA’s Rhetoric School Praise and Worship Team desires to serve God by combining musical excellence with heartfelt adoration of the Creator who designed His people to give Him praise. Members of the Praise and Worship Team are inspired to develop their God-given talents in a way that sharpens creative musical skills, while directing attention to the One who is worthy of worship.
Praise and Worship Team students expand their vocal range by utilizing vocal skill development exercises, and grow in instrumental excellence by analyzing and implementing instrument styles specific to the praise song genre in use. Praise Team students lead the student body in weekly chapel worship and participate in additional worship leading opportunities at various PCA events throughout the school year.
Band
Through dedicated practice and collaborative teamwork, band members strive for musical excellence while using their gifts to bring joy and inspiration to others. The Concert Band focuses on cultivating technical proficiency and expressive musicianship across a diverse repertoire, from classical pieces to contemporary works. Students refine their instrumental skills, deepen their understanding of music theory, and learn to perform with precision and artistry in a concert setting.
The Pep Band energizes the PCA community by bringing enthusiasm and school spirit to athletic events and other special occasions. Members develop their performance skills while embracing dynamic styles that create an exciting and engaging atmosphere.
Both programs aim to inspire students to grow in their musical abilities, build lasting relationships, and glorify God through the power of music.
Visual Arts
As human beings made in the image of the creator God, who not only made trees but made them “pleasing to the eye,” we are creative by nature. In the arts program, we want our students to grow as creators, to become more and more like him.
Art classes are offered to students beginning in first grade. Students participate in a variety of activities to enhance their learning, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, weaving, and printmaking. Biblical principles are woven into the lessons, as is the study of major artists throughout history. Middle School students are introduced to keeping
sketchbooks in order to practice creative thinking and problem solving. High School students develop the skill and habit of thinking critically about what images communicate. Classes available for high school include sculpture, printmaking, painting, photography, and drawing.
