I'm Third Philosophy
Providence Christian Academy’s students have been taught the I’m Third philosophy.
Our students practice this in all things, we are to put God first, others second, and themselves third. They are trained classically and taught to think for themselves in light of God’s word. It is the goal of PCA to not only produce students who are independent, critical thinkers and expressive communicators, but also students who are equipped to defend their beliefs in this world.
After School Care
The After School Care program at Providence Christian Academy provides students in Pre-K thru 8th Grade with a safe environment of care and supervision beyond the hours of our regular academic day. Our goal is to provide structured time for homework, free time for play and relationship building, and an opportunity for students to relax after a full school day.
Mission and Service
The mission of Providence Christian Academy is to teach students to seek God’s truth and to equip them with the tools for a lifetime of learning. We believe that serving our community in the name of Christ is an integral part of accomplishing this mission.
In addition to the service projects students complete in each grade throughout their academic life at PCA, Rhetoric School students are required to complete 20 hours of individual service each school year (June 1-May 31). Of the 20 total hours, at least 10 of the hours must be completed with an organization in our community. The remaining 10 hours can be accomplished by serving here at PCA or in their church. This is important because we do not only want to be the hands and feet of Christ in our school and church but out in our community as well.
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
National Beta Club
The National Beta Club is a nationally recognized honor society dedicated to promoting leadership and achievement in the areas of scholarship and service. Our motto is "Let us lead by serving others." As such, Providence Christian Academy’s Beta Club chapter demands that it’s members live up to high standards of academics, character, service, and leadership and focus on community service at the school, local, and national levels.
