Life at PCA
We provide a biblically-based education that teaches students to utilize the scriptures as a lens through which to view the world. This commitment to a biblical worldview is exhibited in our hiring practices, as we seek to hire not only the most talented and qualified personnel, but those that possess an active and dynamic walk with the Lord.

PCA has been more than just a school to me. It’s my second home. I love PCA because the community here has helped me grow not only academically but also as a person. Through the school’s love and support, I have been blessed with a foundation of faith that I will build upon for the rest of my life.

PCA was a pivotal experience for me as I developed into a young adult. I gained a love for life long learning, met friends who became family, and gained a new confidence in myself as a person. Any school can be good, but great schools are defined by exceptional instructors who have made teaching their life work. Many of my former teachers still act as mentors in my life today and have helped me navigate difficult situations. An education from Providence equipped me with the opportunity to study the effects of Christians interacting with secular music during my final year. GCU’s President invited me to a round table discussion with the Dean of Students and others about what music should or should not be played before basketball games. I provided an ethical lens despite concluding my research four years prior. I am deeply thankful for Providence and am thrilled to be an engaged alumni for life!

PCA has given me the tools to express my faith and ideas amongst my peers. I am confident in the structure of my worldview and equipped to interface with challenging ethical questions, even as they pertain to the strictly scientific world of engineering. As the mission statement at PCA promised, I am indeed “equipped with the tools for a lifetime of learning.

The patience and enthusiasm of my teachers were blessings to me. They would spend extra time helping me understand the content after class since English was not my first language. They would encourage me time after time. Moreover, I learned to persevere through difficulty. The teachers at PCA truly care about their students. Besides excellence in academic performance, PCA taught about Biblical truth and my identity in Christ. I’m grateful to PCA for sharing with me who Christ is and helping me grow in spiritual maturity.

Providence opened my eyes, mind, and soul to so much. It gave me a deeper love for learning and being fully equipped no matter where I am. It opened my eyes to the greater community I have surrounding me and how to love people well. It helped me grow in my faith and develop a stronger desire to know my Creator. PCA has been my family for so long and every time I return, although there are many new faces I no longer recognize, there’s always someone to make me feel like I’m home. I also feel like PCA really equipped me to do well in college with good study habits, work ethic, and desire to do my best. I couldn’t be more thankful for my time at PCA. It has shaped me into the woman I am now and continues to do so as I still am in contact with several faculty & staff who continue to pour into my life. Once a Lion, always a Lion!

My heart has always been to serve the younger generation – to open as many doors for their bright futures as possible by equipping them with the tools necessary for success. Teaching at PCA allows me to fulfill that calling in a deeper way than public school ever did. In addition to using sound classical practices, we connect everything we do back to God’s truth and grow together not only academically but as disciples of Christ.

There are so many things that we love about PCA! We are so grateful that our boys are benefiting from a Christ-centered classical education and that prayer is an important part of every event and activity at PCA from Parent/Teacher Conferences to Field Day. We’re also grateful for the true partnership with the faculty & staff in the academic and spiritual development of our boys. The faculty is fully invested in not only their academic growth but also in their spiritual growth into Godly men.
