The School of Rhetoric at Providence Christian Academy (PCA) serves grades 9-12, following the Classical Model used throughout the academy. This approach prepares students for college while fostering their faith in Christ and equipping them to impact their communities for the Gospel. In addition to a strong academic curriculum, PCA offers Fine and Performing Arts, TSSAA athletics, student council, National Honor Society, clubs, and a student-led house system. Students learn to communicate effectively, think critically, and lead with humility. A key feature is the advisory program, where teachers mentor students in their academic, social, and spiritual growth. PCA’s focus on relationships ensures every student is known and valued. We invite you to partner with us in your child’s education.
In addition to a full complement of college preparatory academics that includes advanced courses in all disciplines, PCA provides opportunities in the Fine and Performing Arts and extra-curricular activities including TSSAA sanctioned athletics, clubs and organizations, student council, National Honor Society, a fully functioning, student-led house system, and more. Our students not only learn how to speak and write with eloquence and persuasion, they also learn how to collaborate, debate thoughts and ideas, critically analyze textual information, explore through guided inquiry, and lead others with humility and integrity. The investment in relationships is key to our success and one of the most distinctive elements of our academy.
The School of Rhetoric teachers all serve as advisors in addition to their faculty responsibilities. The mission-based advisory program, organized by grade-level and gender, allows our faculty to develop an individual relationship with each student and help guide each one in his or her personal, social, and spiritual development. The fruit of a program like this is hard to even quantify – every student has a place to know others and to be known. Something special is happening here in our midst and I invite you to explore the possibilities for you to partner with us in the education of your child. May God receive the glory for all that is being accomplished by Him through us!
Our team takes our role in the spiritual and academic growth of each student at PCA very seriously. We are genuinely grateful for this opportunity and look forward to all God has for our school. We believe partnering with parents in the Classical Christian model will positively affect our culture for Christ, in a world that desperately needs just that.
In Him,
